Hello, my name is Alana and I am from the United Kingdom. I am a Cambridge CELTA qualified English language teacher. I am also a History and Politics graduate and Cambridge MPhil student. I have always been deeply interested in languages, speaking French and Portuguese as well as English.

My lessons are very student-centric, meaning that I actively encourage students to use as much English as they possibly can and to figure out things for themselves, rather than my lessons being dominated by the teacher. I have experience in teaching General English to A1-C1 learners. I have recently done an intensive Portuguese language course, so I know the struggles of learning a new language and therefore always have patience with my students. As minhas aulas sempre têm o estudante no centro então nunca as domino. Deixo o estudante a falar e encorajo-o a descobrir as coisas por si mesmo quando for possível.
