About Robyn
First of all, I love to learn! I have my Master's in High Energy Physics from Carleton University and my Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning from McGill University. My undergraduate is a double major honors in Math and Physics from Mount Allison University. I have taught at both Marianopolis College and Dawson College, only stopping recently because of a move out of province with my young family. In order to continue teaching what I love with the flexibility I currently need, I started my own company: Robyn's Tutoring Services. I'm extremely passionate about teaching and making college physics less intimidating. I've also tutored since high school and love the different challenges of working one-on-one with students. I also love discussing test-taking and study strategies to help you best demonstrate all your hard-earned knowledge. I would love the opportunity to share my expertise with you!

How it works:
I will send a Zoom link to your given email address at least 10 minutes before the session is scheduled to begin. The sessions can be 60 or 90 minutes in length, but this must be decided in advance.
A session may consist of one or more of the following:
• a short lesson on a topic of your choice (i.e. I really don’t understand voltage, can you explain it to me?)
• going over practice problems. We can start a problem from scratch, or send me your first attempt at a solution and we’ll go from there (recommended)
• reviewing corrected work
• discussing study skills and/or test taking strategies
Sending me materials in advance helps me cater the session to your needs, so don’t hesitate to bombard me with problems or questions by email! It’ll help us both make the most of our time together.
During the session I use a screen share with a whiteboard and use a tablet and stylus for problem solving. Afterwards I will email you the pdf of everything that I’ve written.
