About Max
As a vegetarian, I spent 5 years believing my body would be healthier if I stopped buying sausages and steak. Those pesky cows would stop producing methane and my supermarket zucchinis would cool down the planet. Little did I know that produce in large chain stores is severely low in nutrients thanks to the destructive monoculture farming methods used, and vegetarian meat-alternatives foods are riddled with ingredients that shouldn't be anywhere near your digestive tract.
I avoided meat yet I still carried a lot of body fat, despite being a relatively active cyclist, skateboarder, and rock climber.
Six years in professional kitchens as head chef, sous chef, and chalet chef have taught me that many health issues, including overeating and obesity, arise not from the often demonised saturated fats like butter, olive oil, and beef tallow, but from the use of industrial seed oils like corn, rapeseed, and sunflower - found in many vegetarian foods - repeatedly heated above safe temperatures.
After studying horticulture and permaculture, I now understand that regenerative agriculture using animals is far superior and actually inherently necessary for our soils to thrive and our food to achieve true nutrient density. High protein, high-fat diets with exercise are essential to burn fat. So, combine the two, and you're left with my diet manifesto that helped me avoid cravings, increase energy, shred excess weight and ensure we have healthy soil for generations to come.

For my hourly workshops, I will share my knowledge in a digestible voiceover format with slides, leaving you ready to tackle your next shopping trip or restaurant visit with ease, or simply take the next steps on your diet adventure.
I implore the student to interact and ask questions throughout to consolidate their learning. This is not a lecture - at times, you will be participating in a conversation as we pull examples from our own experiences, and expand on them.
My lessons are appropriate for anyone that can't stick to a diet program or finds it hard to curb their cravings, or those that are interested in alternative diets.
