About Mathews

As a science tutor, I can inspire young minds, ignite their curiosity, and nurture their critical thinking skills. Witnessing that "aha" moment on a student's face when they grasp a complex concept is incredibly rewarding. Moreover, I believe that preparing students for university requires more than just academic knowledge. I can guide them through the university application process, helping them identify their interests and strengths to choose the right science-related courses. I will mentor them on building a strong portfolio, writing compelling personal statements, and honing their study and research skills.

About the lesson

My teaching approach revolves around two key principles: skill development and adaptability. Firstly, I design a well-suited methodology aligned with the chosen curriculum, and then I tailor it to meet each student's individual requirements, considering their understanding of the subject matter. Secondly, I strive to enhance my students' analytical and scientific abilities alongside their knowledge. To achieve this, I utilize a variety of resources such as worksheets, class tasks, and past papers. Lastly, I strongly believe in providing regular feedback to parents to keep them informed about their child's progress.
