About Madeleine
I am a personable and passionate chemistry teacher who loves to make difficult topics easier for my students. Having been a teacher for over 10 years, I am confident in my subject knowledge. I have studied chemistry to degree level but I think my strengths lie in the strength of my explanations. Just because someone is highly qualified, it doesn't necessarily mean they are good at explaining the content to someone else, and that is the skill involved in being a teacher.

Our first session will be getting to know each other and working out any kinks or things you find hard. After that, each session will be carefully planned to included some teaching, followed by worked exam question practice (if applicable!) and then a brief discussion of what I can prepare for next time, or any practice you can do in the meantime. This maximises the use of the time we have and the input I can put in per session, while still giving you the opportunity to apply your knowledge. That being said, I am very flexible in arrangements and I am aware that all students are different! The beauty of 1:2:1 is that I can adapt fully to your needs.
