As a chess tutor, I focus on making lessons both structured and engaging so students feel challenged but never overwhelmed. I tailor each session to the student’s age, level, and goals, whether they are just learning the basics of how pieces move or already exploring advanced strategies.
A typical lesson begins with a short warm up such as puzzles or reviewing a position from a recent game, to get students thinking critically right away. We then move into a focused topic, like openings, tactics, or endgame techniques, always reinforced through practical examples and interactive exercises. To close, I encourage students to apply what they have learned in guided play and reflect on what worked well.
What sets me apart is my ability to create a positive, patient, and supportive environment where students feel motivated to grow. I draw from my tournament background and years of teaching to balance technical instruction with fun, age appropriate challenges. My approach emphasizes not only chess skills, but also confidence, focus, and problem-solving, qualities that serve students beyond the board.
My lessons are designed for children and teens ages 6 to 16, from complete beginners to intermediate players. I take pride in adapting to different learning styles so every student can discover their potential and enjoy the game at their own pace.
