About Pragash
I am a qualified Civil Engineer with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Moratuwa and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS). With a strong academic background and years of experience applying mathematics and physics in real-world engineering, I bring clarity, structure, and practical insight to my tutoring. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I enjoy helping students understand concepts deeply rather than memorizing them. Over time, I’ve developed a patient, supportive, and methodical teaching style that works well for a wide range of learners—whether they need help catching up, building confidence, or aiming for top grades. I tutor NCEA and Cambridge students in Physics and Mathematics, from Year 9 through to A-Level. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students enjoy the subjects and develop long-term problem-solving skills. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy engineering design, gardening, and learning new things—interests that help me bring practical examples and real-life applications into lessons. I am committed to helping every student reach their full potential and achieve the results they are capable of.

I offer personalized and results-focused tutoring in Physics and Mathematics for secondary school students (Years 9–13), including NCEA Levels 1–3 and Cambridge IGCSE / AS / A-Level. With a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and a Master’s in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore, I bring strong academic expertise and real-world engineering experience to my teaching. This helps students understand not just the theory, but also how concepts are applied in real life. How My Lessons Work Diagnostic Assessment: I begin by identifying the student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning goals. Structured, Clear Explanations: Complex ideas are broken down into simple, easy-to-understand steps. Exam-Focused Teaching: I teach effective techniques for NCEA and Cambridge exams—working through past papers, common question patterns, and marking criteria. Interactive Learning: Students are encouraged to ask questions and engage actively, ensuring they truly understand the concepts. Homework & Practice: I provide optional practice questions and short tasks to strengthen understanding and improve speed. Progress Tracking: Regular feedback is given to both students and parents to keep learning on track.
