About Inez
I have 8 years of professional experience in preschool education. As an early childhood educator, I focus on building strong foundations rather than simply preparing children for tests. Over the years, I have supported children in developing their confidence, language abilities, early literacy skills and independence in learning.
My area of particular interest and strength is emergent reading and writing. I have extensive experience supporting young children in developing phonological awareness, vocabulary, print awareness, early writing skills and confidence in communicating their ideas.

Nurturing children with different developmental levels and learning needs, adapting activities and lesson approaches to help each child make meaningful progress. Through differentiated teaching, repetition, hands-on experiences and consistent encouragement, I have supported children in areas such as:
• Recognising and identifying letters and sounds
• Developing phonological and phonemic awareness
• Building vocabulary and comprehension
• Developing early reading and decoding skills
• Recognising and writing letters and simple words
• Developing pencil control and early writing skills
• Expressing ideas verbally and participating confidently in conversations
• Developing positive attitudes and confidence towards learning
My approach is to observe each child’s starting point, identify areas for development and work progressively towards achievable goals. I also believe in keeping parents informed of their child’s progress so that learning can be reinforced at home.
