About Suzanne
I have been a qualified EFL/ESOL teacher for the last 28 years. I have lived and worked both in the UK and various places overseas. I therefore have experience in teaching people of a variety of nationalities and from a wide range of backgrounds.
I have delivered IELTS exam courses, so can help you prepare to get the band you require. Students I have supported have been able to move up a Band to get the results they require. I have also taught Cambridge exam prep classes at PET, FCE, CAE & CPE levels and have been an examiner of PET & FCE.
In addition I can offer you help with Business English or writing essays/giving presentations for A-levels, college or university.
Or if you simply would like to become a more confident speaker of English in your daily life, I can help you.

My teaching methodology, first and foremost, centres around finding out what you need most and how you prefer to study. That way, I can plan lessons which will benefit you most. I see my role as removing any difficulties or barriers that might slow down your learning. At the same time I expect any of my students to take responsibility for their progress by taking on board advice, suggestions and committing to their studies.
Having said that, I believe learning should be enjoyable and so I do my best to offer interesting and engaging lessons which will involve you activating all four communication skills - listening, reading, speaking and writing.
I use up-to-date resources and can also recommend relevant online materials.
Naturally in the current climate of Covid, all lessons will be online via Zoom or MS Teams.
