About Ashleigh
My name is Ashleigh, and I am a qualified English and History teacher with 12 years of tutoring experience and 8 years of experience teaching in a high school environment.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Studies and a Postgraduate qualification in Education, specializing in English and History. My background as both a classroom teacher and a private tutor allows me to support students in a way that is structured, informed, and aligned with curriculum and assessment expectations.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their abilities while developing strong academic skills. I understand that every learner is different, and I take pride in adapting my teaching to suit each student’s needs, pace, and goals. Whether a learner needs ongoing support or focused exam preparation, I aim to create a calm, encouraging environment where progress feels achievable.
I work with students across multiple grades and curricula, including CAPS, IEB, IGCSE, and AS Level, and I am committed to helping learners not only improve their results but also gain a deeper understanding of the subjects they study.

My approach to private tutoring is structured, supportive, and fully tailored to each student. I believe that real progress happens when learners feel confident, understood, and clear about what is expected of them, especially in subjects like English and History.
I combine my experience as a qualified high school teacher with over 12 years of tutoring to create lessons that are both academically rigorous and approachable.
