I met Melanie in 2006 whilst teaching English in South Korea. She was the English Coordinator at Suncheon University

Those were memorable times and I remember her as being very popular with students and fellow teachers alike. Her popularity stemmed from the fact that she was approachable and students soon saw a marked improvement in the English speaking skills as a result of her communicative style.

I worked with Melanie while teaching at a university in South Korea for a number of years and would highly recommend her as a teacher and private tutor. Melanie would have excelled and could have successfully been a high achiever in any number of professions when she set about choosing her career. She at first studied Medicine, but changed her course and opted instead to follow her passion for English. She became a teacher. She is bilingual (fluent in English and Afrikaans). She taught in both rural and urban areas in South Africa and has enriched many lives in doing so. She is a published author. Not only is her knowledge of the English language impeccable, she is able to teach and convey all aspects of it to her students. Melanie has that rare quality of being able to "read" the student directly in front of her and focus exactly on what they need. She is comfortable teaching all aspects of English, from basic to advanced grammar, right through to an in-depth study of literature. She has taught English to business people, young children, university students and adults. Melanie is lovely. She is adaptable, capable and extremely personable. She is a superb communicator and a great teacher.
