About Elliot
I am a retired U.S. Military Officer. I have 27 years of service and have traveled all over the world and interacted with people everywhere. My teaching included many subjects other than the English Language but teaching and tutoring in English was always my favorite. I am professional, driven to succeed and meet other people and help them succeed at their own goals. Whether you are learning to speak better for your personal fulfillment or for professional reasons, I have the experience to work with you to get better. Every teaching interaction not only teaches the student, but the teacher. Never stop learning.

Many English tutors focus on grammar and writing. While these are extremely important, many students have already studied these for many years. The majority lack speaking and listening skills to communicate with other English speakers in a meaningful way. This is where we could focus! Let's make English speaking fun and less stressful together. My experiences speaking other languages were enhanced by immersing myself in the language and colloquial expressions of my target language, helping me to become more fluent. That is what many students want and exactly what I can provide. I would also do visits to speak together in person.

Details
Rates can vary based on the needs of my students. If we are doing in-person lessons or online we can discuss rates. I can travel outside of 80 miles for special lessons. A great example of special lessons: I used to teach while walking through town and going to the coffee shop with my students, or in their own office environment. Anywhere that a student would need to be to practice speaking and discussing specific details or items.
