About Alessia
My name is Alessia, and I am an experienced and passionate English, Italian and business tutor. I have a degree in Comparative Cultures and an MBA in Marketing and Brand Management. In the past I have been a lecturer at the London College of Fashion, and I am now focusing mainly on tutoring. I always tailor my lessons around my students' personalities, skills and preferences, and I try my best to make sure they have fun while learning. I have been tutoring for over 20 years, whilst studying and then running my own business. I mainly teach 1-to-1 or to small groups, usually online, in order to fit the lessons in my students' busy schedules. Online tutoring is great both for young learners and adults, as all you need is a pc/laptop and an internet connection. I'm now tutoring full time and look forward to meet new students!

I got to know Alessia about 7 years ago, as she was my tutor when I was preparing my university admission exam. I have always been quite good at listening and my knowledge of grammar was not bad but I was not a confident speaker. Alessia worked on a program and a lesson plan in order to achieve my objectives and become more confident about my English skills. Topics of the lessons were based on my interests and she used a variety of material (flashcards, realia, music and movie clips).

My best recommendationI met Alessia about 3 years ago as I was looking for an English tutor to help me preparing for IELTS. I was starting from a B2 level and needed to get to a C1 in a very short time. Alessia helped me to get both my fluency and my accuracy to the next level. With a tailored approach, she made all each lesson fun and interesting, and I was always looking forward to out lessons.
