About Katerina
I am a full-time student currently studying at the University of Toronto and working towards my Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in French Language and Literature with a double minor in Political Science and Philosophy.
I currently work as an Experienced Bilingual Customer Service Specialist at GreenBrain Inc. with the goal of promoting energy conservation and sustainability across Ontario. Additionally, I have been working as a Private French Language Tutor with over four years of experience with Primary School Students and demonstrating academic improvement of up to 20%.
I am an approachable, adaptive and diligent worker with strong interpersonal skills that have allowed me to succeed in fields requiring problem solving and working under pressure. Furthermore, I am trilingual with excellent written and verbal skills in English, French and Russian that have allowed me to excel in my work experience in Customer Service, Communication, Retail and Early Education.
I am looking to pursue a career in Education as a French language teacher. I am currently looking for opportunities in a professional office and/or teaching environment where I can become an asset to a team and utilize my skills in communication and language to the fullest.

My teaching methodology consists of a Student-Centered Approach where each lesson is specifically curated to the student's preferred method of learning, catering to all students of all ages. A typical class is usually one hour in duration, consisting of at least one goal/focus for the lesson. What sets me apart from other tutors or teachers is that I work with students and parents to develop short and long term goals with clear-cut plans in order to achieve discussed goals. With every lesson, students will not only learn concepts but spend most of the lesson time doing exercises and demonstrating what they have learnt. I have over 5 years of experience tutoring children in the French Immersion program in Primary School, so my lessons are designed to keep my students constantly engaged and working throughout the whole hour so we can make the most of our time together.

My rate will increase if you request at-home tutoring where I will have to travel to you.
