About Monika
My love for the French language runs in the family and I have always been driven to share my passion with others. I completed my post-graduate education in France and am certified as French as a Foreign Language Teacher by French Government (DAEFLE diploma). I have gained vast experience teaching French to students and professionals of all levels in France and Canada. I have been conducting 1:1 tutoring classes for junior, middle and senior school students in Toronto and in the past led general French classes in public schools across Europe. I also teach business French to top executives from Canadian and international companies. I am on a full-time mission to help my students develop confidence in speaking, studying and working in French and unlock new personal and professional opportunities.

Students have different learning styles and I always make sure I personalize the lesson to how they learn the best (visual, kinesthetic etc.). Rather than teaching the grammar as a series of definitions or things to underline, I like to teach it in a form of puzzles to solve. I rely heavily on practicing natural conversation using fun exercises so that the students have the opportunity to immerse in the language, develop their internal French grammar and stop thinking of the language as a series of rules and definitions. I love sharing additional engaging resources to practice the language outside of the session and overall aim to create a safe place for the learners to take risks and have fun trying!
