About Natasha
Hi, I'm Natasha! As a penultimate-year Aeronautical Engineering student at Imperial College London—ranked 1st in the UK and Europe, and 2nd in the world—I understand the pressures students face. My academic journey began in India, followed by a move to the UK where I attended a state school and my GCSEs, before moving to a reputable grammar school for my A-levels. The transition was challenging, and I initially struggled with disappointing grades, especially after changing schools. However, through perseverance and effective study strategies, it is possible to improve from Grade Ds to A*s within a year. Having experienced these challenges firsthand, I am passionate about helping students overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. I believe that with the right guidance and support, anyone can excel and I strive to support students achieve their dreams. My approach is empathetic and encouraging, drawing on my own experiences to inspire confidence and resilience in my students. I am committed to providing a supportive and professional learning environment where every student can thrive, regardless of their starting point.

My tutoring approach is highly personalised. In the first lesson, I assess each student's learning style and strengths with a short quiz. Lessons are tailored to every student's individual needs, focusing on both their strengths and areas for improvements to maximise retention. Each lesson lasts about an hour: First 5-10 minutes: Introduction and review of previously assigned homework (if any) Next 20 minutes: Guided study, revising topics and working through examples together, with live note-taking so students can fully focus on understanding, without having to make notes during the lesson Following 20 minutes: Independent practice with exam-style questions, provided by me. However, students are always welcome to bring their own questions or suggest any specific style of questions they prefer. Final 10 minutes: Review of solutions, feedback, tips for more efficient problem-solving and expectations from mark schemes, assigning homework (related to the lesson, lasting around 15-20 minutes to answer). I have over 3 years of experience tutoring GCSE and AS/A-level Maths and Further Maths, with all my students achieving top grades in their exams and providing positive feedback. Whilst most of experience comes from teaching students from Years 8-13, I am also happy to tutor younger students in KS2 and KS3.
