About Viann
Hi, I’m Viann, an enthusiastic and dedicated tutor with a strong academic background in Chemistry, Mathematics and Psychology. I achieved A* grades in all three subjects at A Level, as well as excellent results across my GCSE/IGCSE subjects.
I have experience supporting students with their learning through one-to-one academic support and school volunteering. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take a patient and personalised approach to help students build both their understanding and confidence.
Whether you are looking to strengthen your foundations, prepare for exams or aim for the highest possible grades, I will work with you to identify your goals and tailor lessons to your individual needs. My aim is not only to help students achieve better results, but also to develop effective learning skills and confidence that they can carry forward in their education.
I offer friendly and professional online lessons for GCSE, IGCSE and A Level students, and I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals.

My approach to tutoring is student-centred, supportive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I believe students learn best when they understand the reasoning behind a concept rather than simply memorising information.
During lessons, I first identify the student’s current level, strengths and areas for improvement. I then explain concepts clearly using step-by-step explanations, worked examples and visual or digital resources where appropriate. I also use practice questions and exam-style questions to check understanding and develop students’ confidence in applying their knowledge independently. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and adapt my pace and teaching style according to their progress.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although I can adapt the lesson length depending on the student’s age, level and learning objectives.
I have strong academic experience, having achieved A grades in A-Level Chemistry, Mathematics and Psychology*, as well as Grade 9/A grades across GCSE/IGCSE subjects. I also have experience supporting students through school volunteering, including helping younger students and students with additional learning needs. These experiences have developed my patience, communication skills and ability to explain concepts in an accessible way.
My lessons are suitable for students studying GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level Chemistry, Mathematics and Psychology, as well as students who would like support with English. I am happy to work with students of different abilities, from those who need help building their foundations to those aiming for the highest grades.
