My approach to tutoring is structured, supportive and results-driven. With over eight years’ experience teaching German in a UK grammar school, I understand both how students learn best and what examiners are looking for at GCSE and A-Level.
I focus on building strong foundations in grammar and vocabulary while developing confident speaking skills. Lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, whether that means reinforcing key structures, improving translation technique, or refining high-level essay writing for A-Level. I use targeted exam practice, model answers, retrieval practice, and regular feedback to ensure steady progress.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, though I also offer 45-minute or 90-minute sessions depending on the student’s needs. Each lesson includes a balance of grammar work, active speaking practice, and exam-focused tasks to build both accuracy and fluency.
My lessons are ideal for GCSE and A-Level students (Years 9–13), particularly those aiming to boost their grades, prepare for speaking exams, or secure top marks. I also welcome motivated adult learners who want to improve their German in a structured and supportive environment.
Above all, I aim to build confidence. When students understand how the language works and how to approach exams strategically, their results improve naturally.
