About Anna
I’m a dedicated math educator with a degree in Mathematics from St. Edward’s University and five years of experience teaching high school math, including Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, and Calculus II.
Before becoming a classroom teacher, I worked as a private math tutor for over 10 years, building strong one-on-one instructional skills and helping students of all levels succeed.
I’ve worked in both public and private education across multiple states, which has given me experience with a wide range of curricula, teaching styles, and student needs. This background allows me to adapt quickly and tailor my approach to best support each individual student.
I’m passionate about helping students build confidence in math and develop a deeper understanding of the material through clear explanations and thoughtful, personalized instruction.

About My Lessons:
My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I start by identifying gaps in understanding and then build a clear, step-by-step plan to strengthen foundational skills while keeping up with current coursework.
I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind the math, not just memorize steps. I use multiple approaches and examples to make concepts more accessible, especially for students who may have struggled in the past.
During sessions, students can expect guided practice, targeted problem-solving, and opportunities to ask questions in a low-pressure environment. I also incorporate strategies for test-taking, organization, and independent study so students can continue improving outside of our sessions.
My goal is to help students build confidence, develop strong problem-solving skills, and become more independent learners over time.
