About Jungeun
I am an enthusiastic and dedicated Korean language educator with over 15 years of teaching experience. I hold a master’s degree in Foreign Language Education and have taught Korean at the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, and to U.S. military personnel preparing for OPI and DLPT exams. I am passionate about student-centered learning, cultural exchange, and helping learners build real-world communication skills. My Korean lessons are interactive, communicative, and culturally rich. I teach students at all proficiency levels using ACTFL-aligned methods, including the three modes of communication and the 5Cs framework. My classes include authentic materials, real-life situations, and practical speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities. I have extensive experience teaching university students and U.S. military personnel preparing for OPI and DLPT exams, and I tailor lessons to each learner’s goals. Students describe my teaching style as enthusiastic, approachable, and supportive, and I work hard to make Korean language learning both effective and enjoyable.
