About Jay
I was born in Busan, South Korea, and I am currently studying at college in Melbourne, Australia. I have been living in Melbourne for four years and have experience teaching Korean to students from various cultural backgrounds.
As someone who is currently learning Japanese and has also studied English, I understand how challenging learning a new language can be. Because of this, I try to support my students with patience and clear explanations, making lessons easier to follow and more effective.
I enjoy helping students build confidence and improve their Korean in a supportive and friendly environment.

My lessons are flexible and designed around each student’s preferences and goals. After checking the student’s level, I adjust the teaching style to suit them, and the lesson approach can change weekly to keep it engaging and effective.
Students who want to learn in a fun way can use K-dramas and real-life conversations as part of the lesson, while others can focus more on structured textbook learning. I teach speaking, listening, reading, and writing in a balanced way.
My classes are open to students of all levels and ages. One of my students was able to hold basic conversations in Korean after just four months of learning. I aim to create a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment with Jay.
