About Irene
I have taught languages for over 30 years and am a fully qualified teacher of German. I teach corporate clients as well as individual learners. I have prepared many learners successfully for all available German examinations, my GCSE and A Level students have consistently achieved A and A* grades.
I teach German at all levels, from complete beginners to university level learners.

My teaching methods depend very much on what is to be achieved but oral communication is always a priority. For GCSE and A Level students, the lesson content is very much dictated by the exam syllabus. With adult learners, I very much like to enable them to speak German from the very first lesson. There is a relevant choice of topics for the individual learner, and he or she will be taught methods to learn vocabulary as well as a necessary amount of grammar. I have a very large amount of material to share with the learners, and it is normally useful to have a book, especially for beginners.

Details
I generally charge £20/hour for individual online lessons. If a student comes to me, it is the same price. If I have to travel, the charge depends on the distance I need to travel. If I teach a group, I charge £25/hour regardless of group size.
