About Elynn
I believe Mandarin is a wonderful language. If you have experienced learning it, you will know that it is more than just a language, it is a way to express yourself, connect with others, and discover a rich culture and history.
Having graduated from a Chinese independent high school and obtained credits in Chinese for both SPM and UEC, Mandarin has been an important part of my own education and everyday life. I also have experience working with kindergarten students, which has taught me the importance of patience, encouragement and making learning enjoyable.
I hope to share my appreciation for Mandarin with my students and help them become more confident in using the language. Whether you are starting from the basics or looking to strengthen your existing Mandarin skills, I aim to create a comfortable and supportive learning environment where you can learn at your own pace.

My Teaching Approach
I believe Mandarin is best learned through a combination of understanding, practice and consistent exposure. My lessons are designed to be interactive and engaging rather than relying solely on memorization. Depending on the student's level, I use a combination of conversation practice, vocabulary building, reading, writing and simple exercises to help students gradually build confidence in Mandarin.
For younger learners, I incorporate games, stories, pictures and interactive activities to make lessons more enjoyable and easier to understand. I also adapt my teaching pace and materials according to each student's learning needs and current level.
Lesson Duration
A typical lesson is around 1 hour, although the duration can be adjusted depending on the student's age, learning level and objectives.
My Qualifications & Experience
I have experience teaching kindergarten students and am comfortable working with young learners. I graduated from a Chinese independent high school and obtained credit in both Chinese for SPM and UEC. My background in Chinese-language education gives me a strong foundation in Mandarin and allows me to help students develop their language skills in a structured and approachable way.

My lessons are suitable for young learners and students who are looking to strengthen their Mandarin fundamentals. I offer lessons aligned with the KSSR Chinese language syllabus, with a focus on helping primary-school students build a strong foundation in vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing and conversational Mandarin. Lessons can also be adapted to suit each student's learning level and individual needs.
