About Favour Torty
Hello! My name is Favour, and I am an experienced Mandarin Chinese tutor with over four years of teaching and tutoring experience, working with beginners, young learners, and students preparing for the HSK exams (Levels 1–4). I currently work as a part-time language teacher, teaching Mandarin to children and beginners. This classroom experience has strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and keep lessons engaging, structured, and supportive. My lessons are well-organised and tailored to each student’s goals. I focus on building strong foundations in pronunciation (pinyin), vocabulary, grammar, listening, and speaking. For HSK students, I follow the official syllabus and provide targeted exam practice, revision strategies, and confidence-building support. I am patient, encouraging, and especially supportive of students who feel nervous or have struggled with language learning in the past.
