About Victor
Up to 2002 I worked as an actuary and software developer at various companies, including Nationwide Insurance Co. As an actuary I used computers extensively and became a skilled programmer. I also led classes on actuarial math at Nationwide.
I have an MS in Applied Math from the George Washinton University.

I love math and teaching students the power and beauty of math gives me great satisfaction.
For over seven years have been tutoring students in calculus, pre-calculus, algebra, statistics, geometry & trigonometry; this includes preparation for the AP tests. Coached students 1-on-1 and in classrooms of up to ten students; have coached students online using Zoom. Most students were in grades 7 to 12; two were college under graduates. Tutored several students over an extended period of time. Also tutored my nephews and nieces in college level physics, calculus and computer programming.
My approach is to stress concepts, and reinforce them with carefully chosen exercises that grow and test the student's grasp of the material. I believe in the student engaging and working with the material, and I help them with concepts and exercises they have difficulty with.
