About Junaid
Hello! My name is Junaid and I am very enthusiastic about maths and would love to share my passion with others whilst enabling them to achieve their goals. I will not only encourage my tutees to excel their goals, but to develop an innate passion for the subject as they quickly build up their confidence with the subject over time! I am a recent graduate from the world renowned London School of Economics (LSE) studying Maths and Stats, as well as an experienced and highly qualified Maths tutor: Experience: - Leading weekly Maths tutoring sessions for a group of GCSE students for 2 years, part time at a high school revision club. - Privately tutored 3 GCSE students in maths - Also tutored a year 4, 6 and 8 student in maths as well With my tutoring, my students progress at a phenomenal rate, picking up tricks and faster ways of approaching problems, getting them used to explain their thinking to help them when it comes to revision. My approach: Build a strong foundation by mastering the basics, making it easier to pick up the pace later on, so common issues like manipulating fractions and algebra won't become an issue later on, building their confidence. Examples: - year 8 student achieving so well that the teacher sometimes lets him teach the class on exercise solutions as we have gone beyond the pace of the class, (a student who previously used to struggle with basic concepts now has confidence to lead) - one of my GCSE students who achieved grade 9 last year, starting from only grade 5/6. My lessons have an immediate impact, which you could try out with ease, and I will provide references who will attest to my claims.
