About Lauren
My name is Lauren and it's lovely to meet you! Currently I am a final year student at Imperial College London studying Materials Science and Engineering. I achieved 11 GCSEs all grade 9 and A* and 4 A levels A-A*. Having had first hand experience of completing the 11+, GCSEs, A levels and university exams, I understand what its like to be a student and from my experiences have a rigorous understanding of what skills it requires to succeed. With experience working in a range of competitive placements such as McLaren Racing and Oxford Space Systems, I have gathered a broad skill set, with a focus on interpersonal skills just as much as academics! Outside of this, I enjoy sport in my free time including waterskiing and running. I have just signed up for my first marathon! I also enjoyed music whilst at school, playing the cello. My future career plans involve undertaking a law conversion course and entering the legal profession.

Every student has a unique learning style which is why I approach tutoring with a multifaceted methodology. I employ a wide range of resources from summary notes, practice questions, games, interactive tasks and discussions. Realistically every student has their preferences, so my ultimate aim is to empower students to feel confident whilst learning and encourage them to challenge themselves. If a student believes in themselves, there is no limit to how much they can accomplish!
I have experience teaching students from KS2 to A-level, with a focus on maths and science. Having run mentoring schemes throughout my school career and at university, I have experience teaching a wide range of students, catering to each of their individual preference of teaching style.
