About Avishi
Hi! I’m Avishi, a passionate Mathematics and Science educator with over 11 years of online teaching experience. I hold both an undergraduate (Bachelor’s) and postgraduate (Master’s) degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin.
I specialise in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, supporting learners from primary school through secondary school, sixth form, college, and higher education.
I have experience teaching students following a range of British, American, and international curricula, including GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level, IB, AP, Common Core, SAT, and ACT.
My teaching approach is personalised, supportive, and focused on genuine understanding. Rather than simply asking students to memorise formulae, I help them understand concepts, develop logical reasoning, and become confident independent problem-solvers.
Whether you need support with challenging topics, homework, coursework, revision, or upcoming examinations, I adapt each lesson to your individual needs and goals.
I believe every student has the potential to improve with the right guidance. My aim is to make learning engaging, build confidence, and help you achieve the results you are working towards. I look forward to helping you succeed!

My lessons are interactive, structured, and tailored to your learning needs. I first identify your strengths and areas for improvement, then create a learning approach that helps you progress step by step.
My lessons can include:
Conceptual understanding: Learn the reasoning behind formulae and methods instead of relying on memorisation.
GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level preparation: Strengthen subject knowledge, practise exam-style questions, and develop effective examination techniques.
IB and international curricula: Receive support tailored to your syllabus, academic level, and learning objectives.
Step-by-step problem-solving: Break challenging questions into manageable steps and learn how to approach them independently.
Homework and coursework support: Improve understanding and develop effective study habits.
Targeted practice: Work on questions designed around your current level and areas that need improvement.
Progress and feedback: Identify mistakes, revisit difficult concepts, and build confidence through consistent practice.
I encourage students to ask questions, share their thinking, and learn through active participation. Every lesson is an opportunity to understand something new and become more independent.
Whether you are aiming to improve your grades, prepare for examinations, or strengthen your foundations, I will work with you at your pace and help you move towards your goals.
