About Olivia
I am a young adult and I live in London. I am highly experienced in working with kids and normally babysit from time to time. I love to teach the kids I babysit and I am very fun and enthusiastic when working with kids. I'd delight to teach your child and make you smile when you see your child's progress!

My teaching method is based on giving math question examples and then after 2 or 3 questions I give the kids questions so that they can try working out for themselves and if they have any misunderstandings they can ask me for help.
I love to give interactive questions and let the kids come up with their own examples to make it more fun because kids get easily distracted and also make them understand them more.
I also like to use online apps such as; bitesize for fun maths games and let kids take turns in solving the answers and watch fun math videos with the kids.
I also use apps such as classdojo to give kids points for their good work/ behaviour or reward them for their progress (however you can lose points if you are misbehaving) in order to make the kids inspired to learn and behave themselves.
I set them worksheets/ activities to complete after lessons because PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!!!
(However, for my older students (ages 9-11) I give them practice past papers sometimes so that they get the gist of answering exam style questions).
NOTE: Depending on your child's abilities or how quick they learn I like to challenge them with a little bit harder questions (a year or two higher) but this depends also on how much progress they have made within their curriculum since some children I've worked with are way ahead of their school year
