About Barbara
I am a highly experienced Mathematics teacher with over 30 years of professional teaching practice. I have worked with high‑school students, IB learners and university students, helping them build strong mathematical understanding and long‑term confidence. My approach is clear, structured and patient, focused on genuine comprehension rather than memorization.
I support students preparing for NAPLAN Numeracy, IB Mathematics (SL and HL), state senior exams and university foundation courses. Over the years I have guided many learners toward Advanced and Extension pathways by strengthening their algebra, functions, trigonometry and reasoning skills.
Professionalism, reliability and high‑quality teaching are the foundation of my work. I create a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes and grow. Every lesson is tailored to the student’s level and goals, and I provide clear explanations, step‑by‑step methods and structured notes to ensure steady progress.
