About Rakesh
I am a postgraduate student completing my MSc at Newcastle University, originally from India where I completed my own schooling through the CBSE curriculum and went on to gain hands-on teaching experience working with students across different age groups and ability levels.
Having studied under the CBSE system — which is known for its strong emphasis on Maths and Science fundamentals — I developed a deep subject knowledge from an early age. This, combined with my teaching experience in India and my current MSc studies in the UK, gives me a strong academic foundation and a unique perspective on learning.
Teaching has always been my passion. I genuinely enjoy breaking down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand concepts and seeing students grow in confidence. I understand that every student learns differently and I always adapt my style to suit individual needs.
My goal is not just to help students pass exams, but to build genuine understanding and confidence in the subject. I am committed, reliable and always well-prepared for every session.

My teaching approach is built on one simple belief — every student can succeed when taught the right way. Having studied under the rigorous CBSE curriculum in India, taught students across different levels, and now completing my MSc at Newcastle University, I bring together the best of two education systems to offer something truly unique.
How I Teach
I never follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Before anything else, I take time to understand each student — their learning style, their weak areas, their confidence level and their goals. Some students need visual explanations, others need step-by-step problem solving, and some just need someone patient enough to explain things differently. I adapt every single session around the individual student.
A Typical Lesson Looks Like This
Every session begins with a quick 5-minute review of the previous topic to strengthen memory and identify any gaps. We then move into the main topic with clear, simple explanations followed by worked examples together. The second half of the lesson focuses on the student attempting questions independently while I guide and correct in real time. Every session ends with a short summary and targeted homework to reinforce learning.
What Makes Me Different
Having been through two completely different education systems — CBSE in India and the UK university system — I understand exactly how to bridge gaps in understanding. CBSE trained me to master the fundamentals deeply, which means I can explain Maths and Science concepts from the ground up in ways that make GCSE and A-Level content feel much more manageable.
I also bring genuine patience and warmth to every session. I remember what it felt like to struggle with a topic and not understand it — that empathy drives how I teach. I never make a student feel rushed or embarrassed for not knowing something.
