About Matthew
My name is Matthew, I am a passionate music tech nerd, drummer and tutor with years of hands-on experience in music technology. I am a graduate from BSU in commercial music and with a grade A in Music Technology A-Level. With years of hands on experience within the music industry, gigging, producing, recording, releasing and re-inventing. As a tutor, I’m patient, approachable and focused on making lessons engaging and enjoyable. I understand that learning music production can feel overwhelming at first, so I break everything down clearly and guide students step by step. My goal is always to help you feel confident, creative, and motivated to keep improving.

My approach is clear, practical, and tailored to each student. I focus on making sure you understand why you’re doing something as well as how to do it, so you can apply the skills to your own projects straight away. Lessons are interactive, with plenty of screen-sharing, step-by-step demonstrations, and opportunities for you to try things yourself. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and covers one main topic, such as; music tech fundamentals, beat making, mixing vocals, arranging, or improving workflow. I also provide simple exercises or small projects for you to work on between lessons, helping you build confidence and keep progressing. I’m an experienced music producer with a strong background in Logic Pro and music technology, and I’ve worked with students at beginner and intermediate levels. My lessons are suitable for anyone who wants to learn music production — whether you’re completely new, a hobbyist looking to level up, a student looking for some extra help for your exams, or an aspiring artist who wants their tracks to sound professional.
