About Emma
I've been playing the piano and the viola for as long as I can remember. I have taught the piano since I was 13 (yep, they start 'em young sometimes). I had one of those really strict classical music teachers that you often see in movies (the ones that you should be terrified of). Thankfully I loved music, otherwise...well...let's just say I know my stuff. I've even performed in the Sydney Opera House, so if you want to hear cool stories as an added bonus, I got you covered!

Because my background is in classical music, I will teach good traditional technique and posture (even if we are just jamming to whatever is fresh on the radio). It will be frustrating and tiring at first, but trust me when I say that you will thank me later, especially when you go all Billy Joel and play the Piano Man like a pro. (It really is all in the wrist). But seriously, I will make it fun. We can play whatever music you like, I'm really not fussed.
I'm also flexible in teaching from sheet music or just from ear.
