About Laura
I am a native German speaker, born in Saarbrücken located in the southwest of Germany. After being raised in the north of Germany for 13 years, , where I attended both Grundschule and Gymnasium, I moved to the south of England in 2011 to attend boarding school. During this time, I began tutoring German for GCSE and IB students.
My qualifications include an A* in both GCSE and iGCSE German, as well as a 7 in higher-level German for the IB diploma. I later pursued a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (BA Hons) at the University of Southampton and currently work as a consultant. Over the past three years, I have been teaching German online to both children and adults, sharing my passion for the language and helping learners grow in confidence.

As a dedicated German tutor, I am committed to helping students develop their spoken and written German while also providing students with knowledge about German culture.
My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, with a focus on speaking, writing, reading and grammar. My primary goal is to foster confidence in my students, empowering them to engage in conversations in German with ease.
I also offer support in reviewing and correcting essays and other assignments.
