About Marc

I have a certified TEFL, A* English GCSE and an A in A level. I also have a bachelor’s degree in Economics and work as a strategy consultant and part-time foreign languages teacher. I have taught English to foreign students since 2018 having gained a 100 hour TEFL qualification and therefore have over 5 years of experience teaching many students from around the world. I have taught in both England and Spain. I can also speak Arabic fluently as a second language. In 2021, I was awarded EF Torquay’s teacher of the year and subsequently I was invited to a teachers global leaders academy, where I undertook professional workshops and subsequently became global teaching leader certified. I aim to carry on teaching at a top level and improving as a teacher constantly to get the best out of all my students and ensure their maximum potential is met.

About the lesson

My methodology is finding out what teaching style suits you best, and then discussing areas which you feel you need most support with - followed by working through these areas by breaking them down and explaining them. I then challenge you with activities to work on because practice makes perfect. I have taught at two global English language schools (EF, Elac), teaching hundreds of students from different nationalities and of all ages as young as 13 to adults so I can adapt to suit any needs. My lessons are fun and conversational as well as informative. I am happy to provide content or support you with work you wish me to help you with such as exam preparations, specific language / grammar questions, CV / Cover letter guidance, interview and applications. I encourage students to ask any questions and I will be more than happy to provide an answer to anything in order to help!

Having known Marc for 3 years I can provide a credible recommendation of his teaching after he helped my cousin pass her English Language GCSE.

Marc was very thorough in his teaching and accessible to my cousin at all times. He was able to cater for her different teaching needs that were outside the norm of the traditional curriculum and standardised teaching.

His lessons were flexible, interactive and enjoyable. I would highly recommend him as a tutor at all levels and for many teaching needs.

Marc has travelled Australia and the experience has given him important skills and personal values. He is a approachable, confident, trustworthy young person who always embraces new challenges, and will complete them to the best of his ability. Marc is sociable, with excellent interpersonal skills. Marc takes pride of his achievements to date and is conscious that he doesn’t lose sight of his inner qualities that makes him the person he is. Through knowing Marc I know he finds it beneficial for self development to reflect on his personal attributes and is best practice to involve people who know him to gain insight. When asked, I’d describe Marc as; energetic, vibrant, adaptable, supportive, dependable, and creative. As well as a reliable, determined, and enthusiastic individual who will relish the opportunity to show his passion within the teaching industry.
