About Janet
My name is Janet Lami Amuta, and I am an online English tutor who enjoys helping learners build confidence in reading and communication. I want to teach because I believe every child has the right to learn how to read and write, deserves patient guidance, encouragement, and lessons that make learning clear, enjoyable, and meaningful.

I believe every learner is different, so I take time to understand a child’s learning style, pace, and ability before planning my lessons. I create a calm, supportive, and friendly learning environment where learners feel comfortable to try, make mistakes, and grow in confidence. My English lessons focus on building strong foundations in phonics, reading, spelling, and overall literacy. I explain concepts clearly, teach step by step, and use interactive activities to make lessons enjoyable and easy to understand. I also help learners understand why words sound the way they do and how language works, not just memorizing rules. I regularly check my learners’ progress and adjust my teaching to meet their needs. I encourage active participation through reading aloud, guided practice, simple games, and short exercises that reinforce what has been taught. My goal is not only to help learners pass, but to help them read confidently, spell correctly, and communicate clearly. Above all, I am patient, encouraging, and fully committed to helping every learner succeed.
