About Leandro
I have 4 years of professional experience with online tutoring, mainly at GCSE level mathematics which is the most popular choice for tutoring lessons. I hold a Master's degree in Physics from University of Leicester. I have more years of experience with tutoring due to my educational upbringing, where I learnt that being able to explain a topic to someone else makes it easier to understand it. I enjoy tutoring because I like being able to explain concepts that most find scary and leave students feeling more confident and reassured in their ability to solve problems.

My lessons with students are mainly focused on going through practice questions. When a topic is too difficult for the student, we go back and look at the theory more until the student can understand it better, to the point of being able to explain it back to me. Lessons are usually 1 hour but would be open to 2 hour lessons if the student and parent/school thought it was better for them. I try to encourage students to change the way they think about problems so that they can break them down into more manageable parts and deal with them one at a time, with the idea in mind that getting part of the problem is better than getting none of the problem at all. As the lessons progress we would switch our focus to being able to obtain full marks instead of partial marks for a question.
