About Me – Your Expert Maths, Physics & Mechanical Engineering Tutor
Kia ora!
I’m Panduka, a passionate and highly experienced tutor specializing in Mathematics, Physics, and Mechanical Engineering. I hold a First-Class Master of Engineering (Hons) from Auckland University of Technology, along with a Washington Accord–accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering.
Teaching has always been a part of my academic and professional journey. Over the years, I’ve taught students from Year 4 to university level, across New Zealand and internationally. I currently tutor through Kiwi English Academy, Kip McGrath and some other few institutes. I tutor privately through Superprof, where I proudly maintain a 4.9/5 rating based on student success and satisfaction.

– Engineering Software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autocad)
My Teaching Approach
I believe that real understanding comes from clarity, not memorization. My lessons are:
Concept-focused – breaking down complex ideas into simple, clear explanations
Highly interactive – step-by-step reasoning, real-world examples, visual explanations

Structured & personalized – tailored lesson plans for each learner’s level and goals
Assessment-ready – exam strategies, practice questions, and progress feedback
Whether you’re catching up, pushing for excellence, or preparing for assessments, I can help you get there.
Why Students Choose Me
Friendly, patient, and easy to understand
Strong engineering background gives depth to Maths & Physics explanations

About the Lesson – Physics
My Physics lessons support students from Year 9 to Year 13, including NCEA Levels 1–3, and are designed to make complex ideas understandable and relatable.
I teach all core areas of school Physics, including:
Mechanics (motion, forces & energy)
Electricity & electromagnetism
Waves & optics
Heat, matter & thermodynamics
NCEA internal and external exam preparation
Homework support, lab concepts, and practice questions
Every lesson is:
Concept-driven – building deep understanding, not just memorising formulas
Step-by-step – simplifying tricky ideas through clear explanation
Practical and real-world – linking theory to engineering, technology & everyday life
Confidence-focused – encouraging curiosity, questions and problem solving
I help students master the fundamentals early, so more advanced topics feel natural and achievable. We work through examples, diagrams, and exam-style questions together until everything clicks.
Whether you find Physics challenging or you’re pushing for excellence, I tailor the learning to your pace and help you build the mindset of a confident science thinker.

My daughter is in Year 8, and she used to struggle a lot with math. She relied on short methods and memorization, which didn’t really help her understand the subject. But Panduka changed that! He explained the concepts clearly and focused on building a strong foundation. Now, she’s improving and gaining confidence in math. We’re so grateful for his support. I really recommend him.
Panduka taught my son physics, and he did a great job! My son was struggling with a few topics, but Panduka was able to break them down and help him gain a much better understanding. We’re really happy with his teaching
Panduka is a fantastic tutor! He taught my younger brother math in such a clear and logical way that everything just started making sense to him. He’s now much more confident and solving problems on his own. Really grateful for Panduka’s help and highly recommend.
