I am a qualified primary school teacher with a Sociology degree and a PGCE from South Bank University. I currently teach in a UK primary school and have experience supporting children across the primary age range.
My tutoring approach is child-centred, structured, and encouraging. I adapt each lesson to the individual needs of the child, focusing on building confidence, closing learning gaps, and reinforcing key skills. I use clear explanations, visual resources, interactive activities, and regular retrieval to ensure learning is meaningful and engaging.
Lessons typically last 45–60 minutes and are carefully planned to include a short warm-up, focused teaching, guided practice, and consolidation. I regularly assess understanding and adjust future lessons accordingly.
My lessons are suitable for primary-aged children, including those who need extra support in English or Maths, confidence-building, or reinforcement of school learning. As I am fluent in English and Spanish, I am also able to support bilingual learners and pupils with English as an additional language.
