About Rebecca
Hello, I'm Rebecca!
I am an experienced primary school teacher with 7 years of teaching experience, having taught predominantly in Year 6. I have also worked across KS1 and KS2 and have experience as Head of English and Phonics. I have a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Geography from UCL.
I really enjoy helping children to feel more confident in their learning. I'm a patient and approachable teacher, and I like to take the time to get to know each child and find out what works best for them. One of the things I enjoy most about teaching is that moment when something finally clicks and a child realises they can do something they previously found difficult.

I offer online tuition for children in KS1 and KS2, with a particular focus on English, Maths and Year 6 SATs preparation. My lessons are supportive and tailored to each child's individual needs, ability and learning goals.
I believe in building strong foundations and helping children develop both their knowledge and confidence. I regularly revisit and recap previous learning to make sure key concepts are secure, while identifying and addressing any gaps or misconceptions. I break new or challenging concepts down into manageable steps, model examples clearly and give children plenty of opportunities to practise with support before applying their learning independently.
For children preparing for their Year 6 SATs, I can provide targeted support with key areas of the curriculum, alongside practice with SATs-style questions and developing confidence with different question formats and exam techniques.
Lessons typically last 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, although I am happy to be flexible depending on the child's age and needs. My aim is to create engaging, purposeful lessons where children feel supported, make progress and become more confident in their learning.
