About Major
I have been a math tutor since high school but have only been doing it professionally for a little over a decade. I got my undergraduate degree in Engineering so I also can tutor math-based sciences such as chemistry and physics but choose to focus on helping with math. If I had the means I would tutor math free of charge because I believe everyone should be comfortable with math even if they dislike it. I create an environment where the student is comfortable asking questions and fully participating in their learning process.

Each session is individualized to the needs of the student. I will assist with homework, general concept knowledge, terminology, or getting ahead. Each session is also an evaluation and assessment that will help tailor future sessions to further fill in any conceptual or application gaps or solidify concepts that will be utilized in the process of future concepts. All sessions are informative and thought-provoking as I make sure the foundational concepts are known as well as how they relate to other concepts intellectually, symbolically, and graphically. Math is as much verbal as it is numerical and so I explain in math-specific terminology while illustrating the meaning and making sure vocabulary is part of the learning process.

Perfect! My tutor was great at helping me understand things I didn't know
Perfect! Major is an amazing tutor. From the first meeting with my daughter and I getting to know him he spoke about his educational background, explained everything in detail of how he develops,nurtures and takes the time to develop sessions for his clients. I love the fact that he listened to my daughter in how she felt about math and turned it to an enjoyable experience to learn math. If you’re looking for a tutor, I would highly recommend Major.
Perfect! Major was very good with my son. He kept him engaged and he made math seem interesting. My son is excited for his next lesson :)
