About Sarah
I have a BSc (Hons) Degree in science, Postgraduate Diploma in Education and QTLS (Qualified Teacher Leadership & Skills). I have taught in independent Private Schools and Colleges for many years, teaching 11+ to groups of students, focusing on creative writing, comprehension, verbal reasoning skills, preparing students for 11+ examinations. Furthermore I have taught up to GCSE/IGCSE English preparing students for English exams, technique and exam skills, poetry, analysing texts. Preparing students to undertake UK examinations entrance tests for Independent Schools. I teach both in groups and 1:1. I have worked with younger learners

I tailor all lessons to the individual's requirements, using a variety of teaching techniques and learning styles. I use a teaching materials and resources for relevant age groups and abilities and also use past exam papers for students wishing to work towards assessments. For younger learners of English I use stories, role plays, prompts, music, video clips, mime and fun, creative lessons.
