About Mabel
I trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and have been playing, singing and teaching for over 15 years.
In my professional career I have played and sung with orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and in my professional singing career even sang for the Queen.
Now I gig in and around Vancouver, and love teaching those who enjoy music.

My main aim for every lesson is that you learn the type of music that YOU are interested in, and that you have fun while doing it. If you come away from the lesson and didn't learn AND have fun, then I have failed in my mission! From pop jazz and blues to classical, I love teaching it all. I teach everyone from complete beginners to advanced and have many students ranging in age from 6-60+
Every lesson is different depending on what you would like to focus on:
Singing: We work on increasing your range, strengthening your tone, and many singing techniques. Then bring all this learning into songs that appeal to you, and we work on building a repertoire of songs you love.
Piano: We work on technique, rhythm, coordination, and then bring this into the music you love.
Flute: We work on technique, rhythm, breathing, and then bring this into the music you love.
