Hi, my name is Mia. I recently joined a charter school 2 years ago where Lacy was working. I started my junior year in 2025, and I never enjoyed Spanish, but I needed that credit for junior year. Now, let me tell you, I do not like Spanish whatsoever and do not enjoy the class in general, but Lacy Acosta completely changed that perspective for me! She was so kind and helpful and actually helped me learn everything I needed to know about Spanish. She brought a very warm, comforting environment to whoever came into her classroom! She never judged anyone on mistakes or misspellings in Spanish; she was very patient and calm. Lacy Acosta completely changed my perspective on Spanish. She didn’t just give me a classroom; she gave me a safe place where I felt at home. There is not one superpower I can give her because she has too many to count, but all I know is at the end of the day, she was my superpower to get through junior year on to senior year.
