About Simon
Hi, I'm Simon, a very experienced teacher and tutor. I've taught Humanities and English to children, young adults, and adults over the last 20 years. I have a BA from the University of Nottingham. I have a PGCE (secondary geography) with QTS.
My main skill is getting students well prepared for exams, and my track record proves this. I love teaching and seeing my students develop and achieve their goals (and amazing grades!).
My love of geography and my work in this field was recognised by the Royal Geographical Society, which made me a fellow in summer 2025. I'm fully DBS checked, and have completed all relevant statutory safeguarding courses.

My philosophy is to have fun learning. Sessions are interactive and feature lots of games (gamification) and quizzes to support knowledge acquisition. 1 hour class sessions for KS3, KS4 (GCSE), and KS5 (A level/IB). Exam preparation also available, and homework support as and when required. I'm a fully qualified tutor with 20 years teaching experience and with a PGCE (QTS) in secondary geography.
