About Taku
I have over 19 years UK-based teaching and tutoring experience across the major boards, specialising in supporting students prepare for public Mathematics examinations at GCSE, IGCSE, A level, IB level as well as for Foundation year and first year Engineering Mathematics examinations. I am an accredited Lead Practitioner at A Level.

I use the initial discussion, a diagnostic assessment or some other form of evaluation to gauge prior knowledge and to identify gaps ....but also to agree with the student on the key preferred learning approach and on the revision priorities. My experience and know-how allow me to support the student with common pitfalls, to explain (in clearer terms) the difficult elements of the subject matter and to address misconceptions, as and when they arise. I am adept at assisting the student to become more efficient and exam-ready by fine-tuning their answering technique and improving their time management skills. Essentially, I am able to support the student in the effective use of the mark scheme, to develop their cognitive understanding of the examiner's high bar for success.
