My main approach for understanding complex topics is putting you, the learner, through the situation. I do this by giving real-life examples and scenarios, and relating them to you personally. Instead of telling you about a specific historical event or political policy, I will guide you through it as if you are part of the story, thus making the information easy to relate to and understand. When understanding said topics, it is easier for your brain to make the connections, and therefore, the information sticks.
These lessons are for middle schoolers, high schoolers, post-graduate students, and graduate students, as well as anyone who simply wants to understand history or politics more.

Lana is a very patient and kind tutor.. she helped me really understand the American Civil War. I’ve always had trouble learning about this topic and was very worried about a big test, but Lana taught me in a way that was easy and interesting. Definitely would recommend her for all my US History majors!
