About Beth
I am a qualified science teacher of 8 years with a physics speciality up to A level in a secondary school with a sixth-form provision. I have also taught A level Engineering and Design Technology. I have marked GCSE physics summer series papers for AQA for 8 years which gives me an expert insight into the structure of exam papers and the way these papers should be accessed and answered. I am fully DBS enhanced checked.

In order to enhance the tutoring session's effectiveness, and give maximum value for money, I will aim to develop a learning plan with the student and their parents/guardian prior to the first session (this can be done by email).
This approach will also allow me to target the lesson to cover any gaps in knowledge prior to the session. This plan will detail the learning outcomes and the objectives for understanding. This approach will give the student and their parents/guardian the ability to measure progress over the session and over a series of tutoring sessions if required.
The format of the lesson (typically 1 hour) will be tailored to the student and their subject and will generally be structured to include a brief assessment, learning block, study skills and end summary.
