About Fauzia
I'm Fauz, CIMA-qualified with a finance background, but I spent time abroad teaching primary school kids maths and English. I found I really enjoyed breaking down concepts for children who'd been struggling in class - there's something satisfying about watching a kid finally "get" fractions or long division after being told they're bad at maths.
I want to teach primary-level maths and English (Years 1-6, ages 5-11). I'm comfortable covering the full curriculum but I'm particularly good at helping with times tables, fractions, basic arithmetic, reading comprehension, spelling, and grammar. I also help with SATs prep if that's what's needed.
I'm based in London and available for online or in-person sessions. I'm patient, don't mind repeating things, and I won't make your child feel stupid for not understanding something straight away. First lesson is free so you can see if we work well together before committing.

I taught maths and English to primary school kids (ages 5-11, Years 1-6) whilst living abroad. I worked with children who were struggling to keep up in class, needed help with homework, or were preparing for SATs. Lessons were usually 45-60 minutes depending on how long they could focus.
I'm patient and don't mind explaining the same thing different ways until it clicks. Some kids need visual examples, others need to talk through it out loud - I just work with whatever helps them understand. I mainly focused on times tables, fractions, reading comprehension, and spelling, but I can cover most of the primary curriculum.
I have a BA in Accounting and Finance so I'm comfortable with maths, and I enjoyed helping kids build confidence when they'd been told they were "rubbish at maths" by teachers or classmates. First lesson free so you can see if we're a good fit.
