Jesse is very patient with his students, not only that but he is encouraging and positive with them. He is very communitive with us about our childs progress. Our 8 year old didn't know anything about playing guitar and Jesse has shown him so much this last year while making it fun for our son to learn.

Jesse is great with kids. Our kids are 10 and 7 and they have fun with him while they learn. He strikes the right balance between theory and learning to play pop music. He is also very open to making adjustments specific to the temperament of each child/family which is remarkable. He is always responsive outside of lessons when we may have a question which shows that he truly cares about the progress his students make.

I loved flamenco and have been reading and playing classical guitar music on and off for 50 years, but did not know how to truly play flamenco. Jesse was recommended to me by my world-famous flamenco dance teacher Yaelisa, and he is indeed superb!
I had just been playing notes as they were written on a page. Jesse is teaching me how improvise falsettos and rasgueos, encouraging me bit-bit out of my comfort zone!
He has a convenient location and a flexible schedule.
Also, he’s friendly, out-going, kind, and doesn’t take himself too seriously. I always look forward to our lessons.

Jesse masters the art of making teaching be FUN! He is an incredible musician, but knows how to connect with kids to open up their world to love and learn music. My 6 year old son and 7 year old daughter both do ukelele lessons with Jesse, and it’s a highlight of their week. As a parent, I’m excited to have them learning an instrument, and at the same time, I see it building their confidence too. Being brave to practice singing and playing the instrument, despite feeling nervous about it. Jesse has a beautiful way of connecting to the kids with humor and encouragement, so they feel both comfortable and confident.

Jesse structures lessons for the skill of the student and the direction the student wants to go in. Emphasizing the students abilities. He is knowledgeable in all aspects of music. Jesse explains concepts well and also ensures the student understands what is being thought. Great guitarist and great teacher.

Jesse is an awesome instructor! My 10 year old is learning how to play the guitar and increasing in his confidence as well as abilities. Jesse has a great rapport with my son built on jokes, jam sessions and accountability for weekly practice. My son has had a few teachers so far but Jesse has helped him to grow and keeps him engaged. We are sticking with Jesse!

Jesse is an excellent teacher. He is calm, warm and incredibly patient with my 6 year old daughter. After having a thoughtful discussion about how we should start lessons, we agreed on an approach that would further encourage her natural enthusiasm for music. She loves it. Jesse has also been very flexible with offering zoom and in person classes. I have been really impressed with how well he holds my daughter’s attention even over zoom. He is a wonderful teacher and I could not recommend him more.

Jesse is one of the most talented guitar players I’ve met in my life he’s established himself in classical and flamenco practice and I even heard him play a few of his original pieces. Jesse knows the essence of just music practice and when it comes to teaching he’s very patient and meticulous. I’d definitely recommend him to any students out there.

Jesse was so great to work with! I had very little experience with music and especially with guitar. I had previously worked with another teacher, but was not satisfied at his hands off approach to teaching. Jesse was so patient while I learned at my own pace. His teaching style shows that he is incredibly knowledgable in his craft, while making it so easy to understand for the novice musician. He suggested that I pick out music of my own choice to work on each week, which makes it incredibly motivating to improve! I really appreciate his flexibility with my schedule considering I am currently a student. Sometimes I travel to his house and sometimes I do online lessons. With both modalities Jesse is still able to connect with me and my music! He is the best music teacher and recommend him to people of all ages!
